Nuevo / New iPod nano-chromatic

Hoy me di un paseo por la página de Apple. Me encontré con que estaba en mantenimiento y seguí mi rumbo. Pero no tardé ni un segundo navegando cuando me encuentro con la noticia de que esta mañana han lanzado una nueva versión del iPod y el iPod touch, por eso actualizaban su website.

Cuando al fin estuvo lista pude ver el nuevo iPod nano-chromatic. Es como el iPod 2da generación pero con modificaciones sustanciales en el diseño y característcas nuevas chilísimas.

¿Y lo mejor?... es más barato! $149 y $199 los modelos de 8GB y 16GB, respectivamente.

Ya es #1 en mi Wish List.

Today I visited the Apple Store. It was under maintenance so I kept going. But not even a second after browsing the web I read the news about the launch of the latest iPod and iPod touch this morning, that's why they were updating the site.

When it finally was ready I was able to see the new iPod nano-chromatic. It's like the 2nd Gen one with sustantial modifications on the design and new cool features. 

The best thing?... it's cheaper! $149 and $199 for the 8Gb and 16GB models, respectively.

#1 on my Wish List already.

Navegando por ahí me encontré con esta divertida herramienta que permite formar palabras con imágenes de tipos. Basta con digitar lo deseado para obtener este efecto chulísimo. Y lo mejor: en caso de que no te guste la imagen de la letra que te presenta en un principio, sólo tienes que hacer clic sobre ella para cambiarla por la que decidas.

Surfing around the web I found this cool tool that allows us spell words with images of types. It only takes typing what you wish to get this great effect. And the best thing: in case you do not like the first image presented, just click on it to change it for the one you decide.

Éstas son dos fotos 35mm (de unas cuantas más que aún no escaneo) tomadas con mi cámara Minolta XG-1, como lo hacían en la vieja escuela. Me encanta saber que el resultado final de la foto estará casi en su totalidad determinado por los ajustes manuales que haga en la cámara.

Naturalmente, me gusta la fotografía digital de igual forma por el simple hecho que no hay que contar cuántos cuadros se han gastado y puedes presionar y presionar el obturador casi indiscriminadamente. Lamentablemente aún no tengo los cuartos (chavos, plata, dinero) para comprar la que quisiera. Es proyecto de mediano plazo, je je.

Pero por otro lado me contradigo, porque al usar película se es austero, a menos que se tenga el dinero de sobra; se toma en cuenta que cada cuadro es una oportunidad para hacer magia. Por lo tanto, se piensa más en qué se va hacer y en los ajustes correctos.

Lo cierto es que con ambos sistemas se logran resultados muy similares, de excelente calidad. Se trata del clásico ensayo - error. Así se aprende.

A ver si escaneo algunas películas que tengo por ahí para postear.

These are two 35mm photos (from some others I still don't scan) taken with my Minolta XG-1, old school style. I love the that the final result of the shot is mostly determined by the manual settings made on the camera.

Naturally, I like digital photography as well because of the fact that you don't have to count how many frames have been used and you're able to press and press the shutter as much as you like. Sadly, I still do not have the bucks to buy the wished one. It's a middle term proyect, ha ha.

On the other side I contradict myself because when using film you limit yourself, at least you don't lack the money thing; you have in mind that every frame is an opportunity for making magic. Therefore, you're more conscious on what to do and the right settings to accomplish it.

The truth is that with both systems similar excellent quality results can be reached. It's all about the classic experiment - mistake. That's how you learn.

I'll see if I can scan some other films I have around there, to post more.
